Gate uses local interpreters, distance interpreters and national based interpreters to fulfill our assignments. Our primary need is to fulfill local assignments. Gate hires Christian interpreters with professional skills seeking advancement in the field of interpreting. Gate wants our interpreters to be a true extension of our organization, and as a Christian organization we have found that hiring interpreters with a similar belief system keeps everybody working on the same page.

Our Expectations:
Gate expects our interpreters will be professional and ethical abiding by the standards of the RID CPC. We expect our interpreters will be members of RID and will continuously pursue advancing their skills as well as their personal/professional/spiritual maturity. Our interpreters will need skills in American Sign Language and Contact/PSE.

Our Support:
Gate is unique in that we see our interpreters as our extended family. We offer monthly Mentoring and Fellowship nights which help build a supportive environment and personal skills. We offer 1 or more free mentoring sessions annually. We also treat our interpreters through the year with special reminders of our appreciation. We know the value of our people.

Not a Christian but interested in working with Gate? You are important to us too! We do hire other interpreters for lengthy and specialized assignments.
